Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle

We have a child who loves Curious George. The first two movies were believable. Yes there were criminal elements like bringing in an exotic animal without the proper vaccinations (first movie), and then stealing an elephant in the second movie. Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle has so many plot holes our two children were pointing them out. How often? Routinely and regularly through Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle.

The FCC requires we denote we were provided a copy of this DVD for this review. It came with a sticker that informed us we were receiving a product that had no value, and we would end up owning nothing afterward. The UPC and case were also damaged. We also have to disclose that the value of this review is much greater than the retail value of this product. We were not financially compensated for any of our costs by anyone associated with this film. We were not provided any paid advertisements, or financial donations either.

The storyline in Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle involves George constantly being disobedient. The man in the yellow hat eventually has it and disciplines George in Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle. This movie goes on the attack for the concept of discipline. Makes me wonder if the company that created this movie will enforce piracy disciplines or if they will practice what they are preaching.

A control device for dams is up in a satellite and George is sent up to retrieve it. Why can't they make another one? Why can't they send a human being? Why can't they repair the antenna on the dam that is damaged? These questions are where Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle loses believability. The same can be said for how the space shuttle is so easily damaged by water. Plenty of plot conveniences in Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle.

George crash lands in Africa conveniently close enough to retrieve the device and install it on one of the dams. That way Africa is not flooded. Why? Because we have to control nature and save the animals. The man in the yellow hat rushes to save George from the jungle because as we all know a jungle is not a place for a monkey. See why my kids complained about the plot holes?

There is some mild peril, and mild references to the religious belief of evolution in Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle. Our kids were disappointed with this eighty-one minute movie. I am disturbed by the attack on discipline in Curious George 3 Back to the Jungle. We all know that kids do better in structure with define parameters than they do being left to be wild and crazy. Wild and crazy leads to piracy, pain, destruction, and sometimes worse.
